Kotonoha was born of this desire.
Some people want to learn and play the Koto.

Our trademark
The trademark of Kotonoha was registered by Japan Patent Office.
‘箏の波’(Kotonoha) means “the wave of Koto”.
We try to make the wave on the Koto world to spread the sound of it.
The trademark is registered for 10 years.
We are planning our action to continue next decade.
Now, our wave is very small. Most people do not notice this wave.
But one year, five years and 10 years later, how big will it become?
We are looking forward to it!

Welcome to Kotonoha. I am Tagoku Keiko, manager of this site.
I don’t play Koto and I don’t know much about it.
But I had a chance to listen to the concert of Koto at the Yokohama Noh Theater.
The Noh stage is made of wood. And the Koto is made of wood, too.
During the concert, the stage was resonating with the Koto.
I felt a profound impression for that sound.
After that, I met various sounds of Koto.
I have realized that the music of Koto is not only for the New Year.
Koto is an expressive instrument, and its sound has the healing effect on modern people, especially the citizens of stressful city.
When I had been thinking how I could have more people know this sound, I could meet the master of Koto. And I started Kotonoha with her.
